Valor Partnership (Overview )

Understanding of RJ Valor Mission: The Raymond James Veterans Inclusion Network (RJ Valor) is a business resource group under Raymond James Financial that supports all branches of the military, first responders, spouses, and their families, aiming to foster camaraderie, networking, and community involvement. RJ Valor partners with local and national nonprofits across the country to collaborate, support, promote, and amplify each other and fellow veterans/ first responders.​

Purpose: Becoming a Valor partner is designed to create a mutually beneficial and reciprocal relationship between nonprofit partners and RJ Valor. ​

Community Outreach & Engagement (Nonprofits): RJ Valor partners with local veteran/first responder organizations across the country to collaborate, support, promote, and amplify each other and fellow veterans in their communities and nationwide.  These partnerships are limited to a maximum of 50 and rotate every 5 years. Becoming a Valor partner comes with the following privileges: ​

  • Volunteer/Engagement Opportunities: RJ Valor aims to provide a voice for first responder and military families, giving insight into their experience, lifestyle, and sacrifice. Valor Partners receive a monthly highlight of their events and outreach on the Valor Events website. RJ Valor then encourages Raymond James volunteers around the country to get involved and support these local nonprofits. ​
  • Financial Support: Nonprofit partners can apply for donations and event sponsorships from RJ Valor. Donations are typically unrestricted, but RJ Valor may define how the money should be used and may also require the nonprofit to meet certain conditions.​
  • Annual #GolfToGiveBack: Nonprofit partners receive the opportunity to participate in the annual RJ Valor golf tournament fundraiser aimed at supporting veteran/first responder nonprofits in their commitment and mission to help the community and give back to those who have already given so much. Proceeds of this tourney are directly donated to the non-profits. ​
  • Partnership with American Warrior Partnership (AWP): RJ Valor has partnered with AWP to proactively build a trusted relationship with our nonprofit partners. Therefore, a partnership with RJ Valor also results in an automatic partnership with AWP’s available resources, tools, and insights. AWP is a national nonprofit dedicated to preventing veteran suicide. The organization partners with local veteran-serving organizations with the appropriate resources and services to support veterans, their families, and caregivers at every stage of life, to improve veterans’ lives and end suicides.​ AWP’s upstream approach to veteran empowerment is a four-step plan to Connect, Educate, Advocate, and Collaborate with veterans, their families, caregivers, and the communities that support them.​
  • AWP Annual Warrior Symposium: Valor partners receive an invitation to the annual AWP Warrior Symposium, which is an industry-leading event in Washington DC where hundreds of veteran-serving professionals gather to foster collaboration and enhance service to veterans and their families in communities across America. ​
  • AWP Battle Rhythms: Battle Rhythms are monthly collaborative presentations hosted by AWP that provide resources and information to veteran-serving organizations. These virtual events are conducted every month on a wide variety of topics aligned to holistic veteran support based on America’s Warrior Partnership’s proven model, Community Integration. The aim of these meetings is to educate veteran-serving professionals by providing information, tools, and resources to improve their service delivery at the local level. During each meeting, participants are actively involved in collaborative discussion as they connect with other veteran-serving professionals from across the country.​

Corporate Partnerships: RJ Valor corporate partnerships are mutually beneficial relationship with a corporate organization. The goal of the corporate partnership is to achieve common goals by combining the resources, expertise, and strengths of both parties. Corporate partners may provide marketing, nonprofit business resources, donations, volunteers, pro-bono services, and/or commitment of time and resources. Corporate partners also receive the opportunity to participate in the annual RJ Valor #GolfToGiveBack event.
